Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and they tend to act like it! All three fire signs have a tendency to act quickly and speak their mind but Aries has a special knack for wanting to do everything first. Aries represents our inner child and first interaction with the physical world. Think back to when you were a small child. Many of us were fearless until our personalities began to be shaped by our family and people we interacted with. Aries at its core is fearless, wanting to take big leaps and experience life to its fullest. This fearlessness is encouraged by its ruler, Mars, the planet of action and aggression. Ruled by communication and messenger planet, Mercury, Gemini represents how we first learn to communicate to others. All three air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) have a reputation for being chatty, but Gemini may in fact be the “chattiest.” Is that a word?? Geminis sometimes get a bad wrap when it comes to love relationships but many of them are misunderstood. No sign is perfect and we all have our pitfalls when it comes to love relationships. Gemini’s biggest gift and curse is that they have so many different interests and this includes people! Many of them love connecting with people and the thought of being stuck with one person and one perspective for the rest of their lives freaks them out. This is not to say that Gemini’s are not able to commit to one partner, but the other aspects/planetary placements in their natal chart will reveal what they are looking for in a love relationship. I will say that there are a few signs that may have a tendency to settle down later on in life and Gemini is one of them. Cancer teaches us how to get in touch with our emotions. We all have both male and female energy and it’s important to nurture both to stay balanced. All water signs are emotional and intuitive but in different ways. In my experience, Cancers are more sensitive to people and the world around them because they have a natural “motherly” instinct. Yes this applies to the males too! Cancer is ruled by the moon and the moon represents the mother in astrology. Cancers are great at nurturing others, sometimes to the detriment of their own self-esteem. Represented by the crab, this sign is tough on the outside and soft on the inside, making them not so easy to get to know. But once they open their heart to you, they give 100 percent. If you live with or spend a lot of time with a Cancer, be ready to experience their different mood swings. Because the moon is this sign’s ruler, and the moon moves faster than any other “planet” in astrology, their moods can change from day to day. This is not an easy thing to deal with! Sagittarius’ ruler is planet of luck and expansion, Jupiter giving them the spirit of eternal optimism. But they can be optimistic to a fault, taking uncalculated risks or resting on their laurels because they believe things will work out. Things usually do work out for them with Jupiter watching over them, but sometimes luck runs out and they have to learn a lesson the hard way. Like the other two fire signs, Aries and Leo, Sagittarians are quick to speak their mind, which can be a gift and a curse. They are quick witted but many are also hot-tempered. Sagittarians are lovers of life and because of this love, especially for Sagittarian men, may take a back seat. This is not to say that all Sagittarians are roaming around in the world, not able to commit but this sign cannot be “tied” down. Sagittarians need their freedom so even when in a committed partnership or marriage, they need space from their partner to do their own thing. Don’t even think about ever giving them an ultimatum. Picture a lone goat, slowly climbing up a cold mountain, step by step until it reaches the top. This is Capricorn, slow, steady and determined to achieve their goals. Capricorn is the last earth sign of the zodiac and a master builder like Taurus and Virgo. All earth signs need stability and are motivated to build something significant in their lives but for different reasons. Taurus wants material comforts, Virgo, a solid foundation to help others, and Capricorn wants respect and recognition. Capricorn rules the 10th house of career and public image and these are two things that are extremely important to most Capricorns. They have a ferocious drive to achieve some sort of success but this can lead the goat to becoming unfulfilled. Everyone can relate to wanting something so bad in life and then when you finally get it, you get bored and move on to the next thing. This can be a never-ending cycle in a Capricorn’s life if they don’t learn to embrace their more spiritual side. CAPRICORN IN LOVE
Because public image is so important to Capricorn, you will not see them date anyone that doesn’t raise their personal stock in some way. They can be attracted to career driven mates like themselves. A different is extreme is for them to date someone who is completely subservient so that they can run the show. But in my personal experience, the latter is quite rare. Capricorns do not like lazy people. Much like their fellow earth sign, Virgo, they want to see their significant other putting their best foot forward and bettering themselves. So they can be quite critical if you don’t live up to an image they are projecting you to be. Contrary to popular belief, Capricorns are very sensitive. My theory is that they have a shadow sensitive side similar to their opposite sign Cancer, that they learn to build a wall around and protect at a young age. They are already very hard on themselves so it is hard for them to take criticism from others. They don’t open up easily and it may take a while for you to get through to their heart. But when Capricorn commits to you they can be a very loyal partner. They don’t settle down with any old Jane or Joe off the street and dating frivolously is not something they’re into. Many of them are very traditional, especially the men. They want a lady in the streets and a freak in the bed. Because of Capricorn’s laser focus on career and status, many of them wait until they feel “established” to marry. Did you know that Aquarius & Scorpio are the zodiac signs with the most US Presidents? I didn’t mention this in the Scorpio description but I am for Aquarius because this is the sign of humanitarianism. Aquarius is often mistaken for a water sign because it’s symbol is the water bearer but it is actually an air sign. The water bearer represents the free flow of ideas and universal spirituality, which is very much a part of Aquarian’s DNA. Like the two other air signs of the zodiac, Gemini and Libra, Aquarians are intellectually driven and love to share ideas with others. But what makes this sign different than the other two is its innate ability to stay disconnected from the people with whom they are exchanging ideas. Hence where the Aquarian reputation for being detached comes from. Aquarians are concerned with the wellbeing of ALL living things on a macro level which is why they can make great leaders. Unlike a water sign that feels what others are going through, Aquarians intellectualize their emotions which keeps them from actually “feeling” them. This is great for people who need to remain impartial in times where judgement is required, but not so great for interpersonal relationships where person to person empathy is required. I love to use Oprah Winfrey as an example for the quintessential Aquarian. She is able to connect with an audience and her guests like no other but she does not “take on” their drama. We also know very little about her private life and she likes it that way! Aquarius’ modern ruler is planet of unexpected change, Uranus. Before Uranus was discovered, Saturn was this sign’s ruler giving Aquarius both a reserved & erratic disposition. Many Aquarians are natural dissenters, going against the grain just because they can. Don’t start an argument with an Aquarian if you aren’t ready to back up your beliefs with facts and reasoning’s for why you think the way you do. They are not trying to be a-holes; they just want to see (in their own way) if you have really thought through your positioning. They are open minded and do not have patience for dogmatic or limited thinking. Because Aquarians are so open minded, they are willing to delve into taboo subjects including the occult. In fact, astrology is associated with the sign of Aquarius. They are interested in learning as much about the world as possible which gives them an edge when it comes to relating with people from all walks of life. AQUARIUS IN LOVE
If I had to make a choice of the 3 signs that are the hardest to “pin down” into love relationships in the zodiac, it would be Sagittarius, Gemini and Aquarius. There are a lot of astrological factors as to why/when a person chooses to settle which can be seen by the other placements in their natal chart but simply put Aquarians cannot and will not be controlled. So if you want to date an Aquarius I hope you are an independent spirit. If you’re lucky enough to win the affection of an Aquarius, you’re probably a very interesting person. This sign is attracted to people with intellect and the ability to form their own opinions. They also admire people with a humanitarian edge. They do not like overly emotional displays of affection (unless they have their moon or other personal planets in water signs). It makes them uncomfortable. They are thinkers, not feelers so if you approach them with an issue that involves how you feel, you will most likely be met with a myriad of questions as to why and how you came to feel that way. And for a sign that lives in their feelings (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Leo, I’m talking to you), this can be frustrating. Some people just want to be understood. Pisces is represented by two fishes swimming in opposite directions which speaks to the go-with-the-flow attitude that many Pisceans possess. Pisces is the last water sign of the zodiac, completing the metaphorical astrological journey from baby (Aries) to a spiritually evolved being (Pisces). Pisces is one of the four mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius), which means that it is flexible and able to transform in different situations. But Pisces is the most mutable out of the other 4 signs. If Pisces had a superhero power, it would be to shape shift. They are able to embody character traits of all twelve signs which can be extremely useful or get them into trouble. Pisceans are very susceptible to other people’s energy and like the other two water signs, Cancer and Scorpio, are very intuitive/borderline psychic. There is great power and danger in this quality because they can be prone to go along with the crowd, against their better judgement. This is why it’s important for Pisces to surround themselves with more evolved spirits who will encourage them to become the powerful empaths they were born to be. I highly recommend that Pisces stay away from hard-core drugs and limit alcohol intake. PISCES IN LOVE
Pisces is one of the most romantic and thoughtful signs in the zodiac. Because they are so intuitive they are able to pinpoint their partner’s wants and needs and cater to them. This is the sign that will write you a poem or serenade you with a song they wrote while thinking of you. Think old world romance. Pisceans can get lost in a dream world of a love story they created in their head which may be far from reality. They can be prone to stay in relationships that are not good for them longer than they should. They usually see the best in people, even if that person doesn’t deserve it. On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Pisces that never seems to settle down. Much like fellow mutable sign, Gemini, they admire diversity and can be swept off their feet by numerous lovers. Pisces has their own concept of time so they can be smitten by one person one week and the next week meet someone who is the new “love of their life.” They live in the moment and follow their heart. It takes a certain type of partner to be able to deal with this level of impulsiveness. Not all Pisces are wanderlusts, especially if they have more grounded aspects in their natal chart, but most appreciate spontaneity, adventure and romance. I don’t recommend keeping secrets from a Pisces, this is probably the most psychic sign in the zodiac and they have the ability to pick up on what you are thinking and feeling without you saying a word. They also have vivid dreams and information will come to them while they sleep. Because their element is water and they are mutable they can be “wishy washy,” acting one way towards you one day and completely different another day. This may be hard for a more practical sign to understand. If you’re looking for a sense of adventure, passion, and mysticism, Pisces is the sign you should go after. It will be a roller coaster of ever-lasting love. At least for the moment being.
